- Om: Represents the creation of the universe
- Mani: Means "jewel" and symbolizes the factors of method, such as compassion, love, and altruistic intention to become enlightened
- Padme: Means "lotus" and symbolizes wisdom
- Hum: Symbolizes indivisibility or union
