When the last transit season occurred the intellectual world was awakening from the slumber of ages, and that wondrous scientific activity which has led to our present advanced knowledge was just beginning. What will be the state of science when the next transit season arrives? God only knows. Not even our children's children will live to take part in the astronomy of that day. Hi everyone, I hope you are well. The Venus Transit is a predictable yet rare astronomical event that occurs about every 100 years. The Venus Transit occurs in pairs, like bookends, 8 years apart. We experienced the Venus Transit in June of 2004, and this is its companion. In this newsletter I explore the *meaning* of the Venus Transit as well as the Partial Lunar Eclipse which occurs the day before the Transit. Part 1: Esoteric Meaning of the Venus Transit
Transits of Venus are among the rarest of all predictable astronomical events, happening only four times every 243 years. Careful observation of Transits of Venus in 1639, 1761, 1769, 1874, and 1882 allowed the first reliable determination of the distance from the Earth to the Sun, and consequently of the scale of our Solar System. Imagine a scientific experiment that required 243 years and several generations of dedicated astronomers to complete! There is no story quite like it in the history of science. - The Old Farmer's Almanac

In the teachings of the Ageless Wisdom via esoteric spiritual philosophy, it is said that VENUS has already achieved *SACRED STATUS* i.e. she has taken a key step in her own Ascension process toward Higher Consciousness. She has taken Initiation and increased her Light Quotient sufficiently to shed her 'personality self'" - the same goal that we humans seek.

There are four planets in our solar system that have not achieved Sacred Status: EARTH (polarity) MARS (aggression) PLUTO (death) and THE MOON (glamorous emotion). (Note: the Moon is not a planet but is considered so for these purposes.) It is said that Earth is next in taking Initiation into Sacred Status. Venus, our sister planet, leads the way, giving even more loaded meaning to the celestial phenomenon of her walk across the Sun.

The issues associated with each of the planets striving for Sacred Status are the issues that Venus can help us with at this time with even greater vigor. Part 3: Subtle Strawberry Full Moon Eclipse
The day before the Venus Transit - on June 4, 2012 - it just so happens that we will have a Full Moon that also just happens to be a Partial Lunar Eclipse. Eclipses always come in pairs (at the New Moon and Full Moon) and this is the 'bookend' eclipse of the May 20, 2012 Pleiadean alignment solar eclipse. The May 20th eclipse opened up the Venus Transit portal by activating a multi-dimensional Stargate with the Pleiades. The June 4th eclipse combined with the Venus Transit marks the conclusion of this powerful doorway into changed consciousness.

What is especially remarkable about this Partial Lunar Eclipse is - first of all, its proximity to the Venus Transit - and secondly, its preponderance of MUTABLE energy. That is, at the time of the eclipse there will be a triangle (T-square) involving the Sun, Moon, Venus and Mars. ... The Venus Transit of 2012 occurs at 16 degrees of Gemini which is conjunct a deep-space anomaly known as "The Great Attractor" (TGA). The Great Attractor is a point of attraction in space is pulling our galaxy and all the galaxies around us towards it at 1 million mph. Scientists cannot explain it. Part of the phenomenon of The Great Attractor is that we can look BEHIND it, but not AT it. Light BENDS around it.

Part 5: The Black-Drop Effect ~Fusion

There is an interesting phenomenon of the Venus Transit which is known as The Black-Drop Effect. The Black-Drop Effect occurs when the edge of the Venusian disk appears to deform and cling to the limb of the Sun. The "black drop" is an optical illusion which is the result of seeing problems due to the Earth's turbulent atmosphere. ...When Venus is near the limb of the sun - the critical moment for transit timing - the black of space beyond the Sun's limb seems to reach in and touch the planet. You can recreate the black drop effect with your thumb and index finger: Hold the two in front of one eye and narrow the distance between them. Just before they touch, a shadowy bridge will spring across the gap. ... Venus represents the energy of FUSION. Let us see this from the relationship Venus has to Gemini. ... Viewing Info & Links
During a Venus transit, Venus is seen as a small, black dot moving slowly in an East-to-West direction across the Sun. The Venus Transit begins on June 5 at 22:10 UT and ends on June 6 at 04:50 UT, with mid-transit taking place on June 6 at 01:29 UT. The total duration is about 6 hours 40 minutes, i.e. the Transit starts about 3 hours before mid-transit and continues about 3 hours after.

This means that in the Eastern U.S., the transit will occur in early evening, beginning at about 6pm and reaching mid-transit at 9:09pm. The full Transit will not be seen since the sun will set at 8:46pm with twilight occurring at 9:19pm. In Hawaii mid-transit will occur at 3:09pm, which is why the entire Transit will be seen there (3 hours before and 3 hours after). Thus, the best place to see the 2012 transit is in the Pacific Ocean - including Hawaii, Alaska, and central Pacific islands. To find the VIEWING time in your area, go to:

There comes a stage when you think the planet is all inside, tangent to the edge. But wait some long, suspenseful seconds more! The black spot becomes slightly stretched toward the limb; then seems to hang by a short thick stalk from the great black curve like a 'black drop'. This deformation is apparently caused by irradiation (spreading of brighter light in the eye) but may also be affected by turbulence in our atmosphere, since it is more marked when the limb of the Sun 'boils.'
