Kawa Kawa, Maori Kava (Macropiper Excelsum)
Macropiper excelsum (Kawakawa) is related in use and historically to Kava Kava. Kawakawa is often known as Maori Kava for it's use by the Maori people, who settled in New Zealand from Polynesia, where Kava use was common.
However, the chemical makeup of the two plants differs. An advantage of Kawakawa's chemical make up is the potential health benefits.
In addition to traditionally being used as a mild sedative and relaxant when brewed as a tea, Kawakawa is a traditional medicinal plant of the Māori, with an infusion of the plant used for to promote health in bladder problems, boils, bruises, to relieve pain or toothache, or as a general tonic.
The leaves of this plant are used to make Titoki Liqueur which is exported to Japan, Australia, Fiji and the United Kingdom. We offer 10x enhanced-leaf extracts, premium-grade cut and sifted foliage.
Belladonna - Atropa belladonna
Atropa belladonna is a perennial branching herb growing to 5 feet tall, with 8 inch long ovate leaves. The leaves in first-year Atropa belladonna plants are larger than those of older plants.
The flowers are bell-shaped, blue-purple or dull red, followed by a shiny, black or purple 0.5 inch berry.Native of Europe and Asia. In earlier times in Italy, extracts of belladonna were used to dialate their eyes for cosmetic purposes; such use explains the origin of the common name (Italian, "beautiful woman"). Belladonna was also an important ingredient in Witches brew during the Middle ages, often being equated with aggressive female sexuality.
A flying ointment salve was made from this plant along with others, and rubbed on the bodies of women to experience erotic sensations and hallucinations. Experiments have shown that the subjective sensation of flight was a common theme with subjects under the influence of solanaceous compounds, not unlike what was reportedly experienced by witches.
KRATOM - (Mitragyna speciosa)
Kratom is a medicinal leaf harvested from a large tree native to Southeast Asia. It is in the same family as the coffee tree. Although using Kratom has been common throughout its native range of Southeast Asia, this amazing plant has remained virtually unknown outside of that area until the last few years.
The leaves of Kratom have been used as an herbal drug from time immemorial by peoples of Southeast Asia.
Mitragyna speciosa is used in folk medicine as a stimulant at low doses, sedative at high doses, pain killer, anti- diarrheal medicine and in the treatment of opiate addiction. Although structurally related to yohimbine and other tryptamines, its pharmacology Kratom is quite different.
It contains many alkaloids including mitragynine which is thought to be responsible for its characteristics of being paradoxically a stimulant and depressant enabling it to be used to aid work while also aiding rest and sleep.
Kratom is said to produce a sense of well-being, with users reporting anti-depressant, anti- anxiety, analgesic, and even euphoric effects.
Golden Reserve Enhanced Kratom Powder
(Mitragyna speciosa Extract)
Our Golden Reserve Enhanced Kratom Powder is definitely the "fullest" full-spectrum extract we've seen with an aroma that is very invigorating.
Full Spectrum means an increase in concentrations of all the alkaloids found in Kratom, not just increased levels of mitragynine,
like most Mitragyna speciosa extracts. Golden Reserve Kratom is made by first making a nearly pure (over 90%) alkaloidal extract that is then used to enhance about 8 times that weight in Powdered Indonesian Kratom.

Wormwood - Absinthe - Artemisia Absinthium
Wormwood has had many useful medical applications. In fact, the first known mention of wormwood is in the Ebers papyrus, a medical document dating to 1550 B.C. The Egyptians and many later cultures used it as a vermifuge, and the name "wormwood" may refer to this property of ridding the body of worms. It was also thought to prevent the plague.
The foliage was smoked by some American Indian tribes, inducing visionary states during religious ceremonies. Russian peasants thought that wormwood's bitter taste was because of the herb's "absorption of bitter human suffering."
Wormwood is best known as the primary ingredient in absinthe. Absinthe enjoyed some popularity as well as some controversy in the mid 19th century. It was thought to inhance creativity.
Celebrated absinthe drinkers included the painters Lautrec, Gauguin, Manet, Van Gogh and Picasso, along with the writers Rimbaud, Verlaine, Oscar Wilde, Edgar Allen Poe and Jack London. Absinthe is the main source of wormwood's notoriety.
There is simply no other beverage which has been surrounded by so much mystique and ceremony. Its mystique is of course helped by the fact that the liqueur has been banned in most countries since the early part of this century. Absinthe remains controversial today.
The psychoactive principles are not well understood. The seeds are easy to grow and bloom into an attractive, silvery plant.

Sceletium Tortuosum - Kanna
Sceletium Tortuosum as know as "Kanna" is a small groundcover plant native to Southern Africa. For hundreds of years the Hottentots of Southern Africa used Sceletium Tortuosum as a mood enhancer, relaxant and empathogen. Dr Nigel Gericke, who is spearheading research into Sceletium tortuosum in South Africa, believes that "Sceletium is one of the most ancient of mind-altering substances, and it is likely to have had a profound influence on the evolution of human consciousness."
Thunberg, during his 1773 expedition reported: "The Hottentots come far and near to fetch this shrub with the root, leaves and all, which they beat together, and afterwards twist them up like pig-tail tobacco; after which they let the mass ferment and keep it by them for chewing, especially when they are thirsty.
If chewed after fermentation, it intoxicates." Laidler in 1928 noted that Sceletium Tortuosum was "chewed and retained in the mouth for a while, when their spirits would rise, eyes brighten and faces take on a jovial air, and they would commence to dance. But if indulged in to excess, it robbed them of their senses and they became intoxicated.
Historically Sceletium tortuosum was eaten/chewed, smoked or used as snuff producing euphoria and alertness which gently fade into relaxation. If chewed in sufficient quantity Sceletium has a mild aneasthetic effect in the mouth, much like kava, and is used by the San tribes if you are about to have a tooth extracted, or in minute doses, for children with colic. A tea made from Sceletium (Kanna) is sometimes used to wean alcoholics off alcohol.
We offer Sceletium tortuosum (Kanna) Powder, Seed, Pharmeceutical Grade Kanna Powder and Smokers Cut.
